About The Artist
Being on the Autism Spectrum has given me the ability to view the world through
a different lens. As a child, I was encouraged to explore many different mediums
to discover where I could best express myself. My specialties include
acrylic/watercolor painting, pencil sketching and photography. I enjoy
drawing/painting scenes of historic buildings, landscapes, antique cars and
anthropomorphic art.
I grew up in Pike Creek, Delaware and graduated from Cab Calloway School of
the Arts, majoring in Visual Arts. My first exhibition was at 10 with a decoupage
that was made into postcards and displayed at the Delaware Hospice Festival of
Trees. I have displayed paintings at a local coffee shop and commissioned
paintings. I use my Autism as an asset to add special features to my artwork.
For example, in my Deer Park Tavern painting, I included a raven since Edgar
Allan Poe had been known to frequent it. In my free time, I enjoy gardening and
photography.
